Merlis Carrillo
Conservation Team Member
After arriving in Panama from his native Nicaragua in 2016, he came to the preserve through a friend to work on the construction and maintenance of Centro Mamoní.
In addition to being the foreman of all construction and maintenance projects at Centro Mamoní, he also acts as foreman of our bamboo harvesting team.
In his spare time, he recycles wood and creates rustic handcrafted pieces.
